Snuglet Care ("we", "us", "our") operates the website snuglet.in and the app at app.snuglet.in. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it when you use our platform.
By using Snuglet Care, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you disagree, please stop using the Platform.

We do not collect sensitive personal data such as biometrics, financial account numbers, or government ID numbers from parents. Caregiver ID verification is handled through our internal HR process, not stored in the parent-facing platform.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- Provide the service - confirm bookings, assign caregivers, send session reminders and updates
- Process payments - charge for sessions and issue refunds
- Communicate with you - respond to support queries, send booking confirmations, share policy updates
- Improve the Platform - analyse usage patterns, fix bugs, develop new features
- Ensure safety - detect fraud, enforce our Terms & Conditions, protect caregivers and families
- Legal compliance - meet obligations under applicable Indian law
We do not use your data for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Who We Share It With
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only in these situations:
Service providers
We use third-party services to operate the Platform - including cloud hosting, payment processing, SMS/WhatsApp messaging, and analytics. These providers access your data only to perform services on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
Our caregivers
When a session is confirmed, the assigned caregiver receives your name, contact number, session address, and relevant child care notes. They are employees of Snuglet Care and bound by our internal privacy and conduct policies.
Legal requirements
We may disclose your data if required to by law, court order, or government authority, or where necessary to protect the rights and safety of Snuglet Care, our users, or the public.
Business transfers
If Snuglet Care is acquired or merges with another business, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5. How Long We Keep It
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Specifically:
- Booking and payment records - 7 years, to comply with Indian financial regulations
- Account information - until you request deletion or your account has been inactive for 3 years
- Support communications - 2 years from the last interaction
- Usage and analytics data - 12 months in identifiable form, then anonymised
When data is no longer needed, we delete it securely or anonymise it so it can no longer be linked to you.
6. How We Protect It
We take security seriously. Measures we use include:
- HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
- Encrypted storage for sensitive fields
- Access controls - only staff who need your data to do their job can access it
- Regular security reviews of our infrastructure
No system is 100% secure. If we ever become aware of a data breach that affects you, we will notify you promptly and take appropriate remedial action.

8. Children's Privacy
Our Platform is designed for use by adults (parents and guardians). We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under 18.
We do collect limited information about children - specifically age and care notes - as provided by the parent or guardian, and use it solely to provide the right caregiver match. This information is treated with the highest level of care and not used for any other purpose.
9. Cookies & Tracking
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to:
- Keep you logged in across sessions
- Remember your preferences
- Understand how visitors use the site (via analytics tools like Mixpanel)
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain features of the Platform. We do not use cookies for targeted advertising.
We use Mixpanel for product analytics. Data collected via Mixpanel is anonymised and used solely to improve the Platform. It is not sold or shared with advertisers.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and notify you via email or an in-app notice if the changes are material.
Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
